Availability Res book has played a pivotal part in our business, since we took over The Dairy Guest House last September. The ‘Availability’ website has transformed our business, we typically exchange 5-6 emails with prospective guests before closure, with inquiries through availability we exchange a maximum of 3 i.e. the enquiry, the offer, and the confirmation. The time spent responding to email inquiries has reduced significantly, lengthy emails detailing room options, rates and availability are not necessary for prospective clients who inquire through ‘Availability’ because they have already checked all the information for themselves on the site. |

Most of our guests are professional people on holiday. They are used to using the internet and getting the information they require in one hit. Availability allows us to make our reservation calendar visible and let guests proceed to make secure bookings without the need to phone us or send an email and wait 24 hours for a reply. It was never a question of whether we needed Availability, for us it was essential to offer on-line booking on our web site. Availability gives us secure credit card handling, ability to customise the message we send to each guest and the ability to enter bookings we receive through emails and other channels into one on-line reservation calandar. |

Why I like res book! Honestly how did I ever cope without it! I use it for everything res, bookings, stats,invoices etc........seriously....Res Book is a main part of my business as well as keeping my reservations in order! it also tells me how I can yield manage my business.....I can see at a glance where my occupancy is low- make plans and decisions on advertising and marketing. Also I can at a glance see what my revenue is each month....have we made budget....and how much I have to spend! I love seeing my yearly revenue increase and what my average nightly rate is ........I can keep track of my agents bookings/commissions paid and also direct bookings.......Res Book is improving all the time and is a must for accommodation providers large and small. Yes I mean every word of it....keep up the good work... |

Our best example of how the system can work for visitors to NZ, was an American lady last summer who was looking to organise all of her accommodation for a peak season South Island holiday before departing the US. Afterexperiencing much frustration and delay she found our web site and in the process of finalising arrangements with us, voiced the frustrations she was experiencing and asked if we could recommend accommodation in a number of other South Island locations. We did make some suggestions but also emailed an internet link to Availability, which she told us later, she used exclusively to arrange the rest of her trip. On arrival, some months later, the guest remembered our in-put and raved about the speed and simplicity of finding and securing accommodation using Availability. Apart from being a simple single source to identify accommodation options, she found the ability to see whether or not rooms were free and being able to book on-line, sped the whole process up. It avoided the time and frustration involved in sending out emails in a "scatter-gun" fashion, some answered, some not, and many with a negative response because the accommodation provider was already full. As a matter of course, we now always send an internet link to Availability when prospective guests seek our in-put to locate accommodation in other Centres. We also have an Availability link on the desk top of our guest computer so guests can on-book for themselves, while checking emails from home. This has the potential to be quite a time saver for us over summer.. |

Availability has become an invaluable tool for our business. We find it very simple to use and its made managing our reservations so much easier. Guests have commented that its made the whole booking system so much easier and quicker. I think the Res Book programme is fantastic. It's not just the on line booking, but all the automatic record keeping that it does for me. I can look back and see history of usage month by month.
